Space Force delivers experimental capabilities to orbit under the DoW Space Test Program

The U.S. Space Force’s (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) successfully launched the Department of War’s (DoW) Space Test Program (STP) S30 mission to deliver four Research and Development (R&D) satellites to low-Earth orbit (LEO) aboard a Rocket Lab Electron rocket at ≈ 12:00 AM EDT from Launch Complex 2 (LC-2) at the Virginia Spaceport Authority’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), at Wallops Island, Dec. 18, 2025. U.S. Space Force Gen. Michael A. Guetlein, direct reporting program manager, Golden Dome for America salutes the military space pioneers and their families who were honored during the Gen. Bernard Schriever Wall of Honor ceremony, Sept. 4, 2025, at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LA AFB) in El Segundo, California. Each year, Space Systems Command inscribes the names of six military space pioneers into the Schriever Wall of Honor during a ceremony held at Space Systems Command’s headquarters at LA AFB. This year’s honorees include Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Samuel A. Greaves, Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Jack L. Hyslop, Dr. Donald N. Jortner, Retired U.S. Air Force Col., Mr. Douglas L. Loverro, Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Mr. David W. Madden, and Retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Thomas D. Taverney.
