Summary: Space Systems Command’s Maritime and Aviation Receiver Card (MAVRC) Industry Day delivered insight into program readiness, strategy, and requirements. The program is on track to release a Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) via the Space Enterprise Consortium contract vehicle in 2QFY26.
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command’s (SSC) System Delta 831 (SYD 831) hosted a successful three-day Maritime and Aviation Receiver Card (MAVRC) Industry Day on September 9, 2025, bringing together 30 representatives from 10 leading industry partners to discuss valuable insights into program readiness, strategy, and key requirements. The event provided a valuable platform for collaboration and information sharing to help ensure the program is positioned to be on track for releasing its Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) via the SSC’s Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC) contract vehicle in 2QFY26.
Discussions focused on shaping critical requirements, including military and civilian flight certification, digital antenna electronics, form factors, and Regional Military Protection (RMP). The insights gained directly informed team trades studies, development of the Technical Requirements Document (TRD), and the upcoming RPP for the Phase 0, Risk Reduction Study release in 2QFY26. Team activities and one-on-one discussions also provided the MAVRC team with a comprehensive understanding of prime and subcontractor approaches and potential solutions.
"We were extremely pleased with the level of engagement and the quality of the discussions during our MAVRC Industry Day," said USSF Col. Neil Barnas, SYD 831 commander. "The feedback we received confirms that industry is not only primed and ready to execute but suggests the potential to accelerate the program schedule beyond our initial assessments. This is a significant positive for the MAVRC program."
