SSC and USC Leverage USSF University Partnership Program to Cultivate Future Space Leaders
On November 11, 2024, Air & Space Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Cadets from the University of Southern California (USC) recently visited U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at the Los Angeles Air Force Base to speak with USSF Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, commander of SSC, to learn about SSC’s mission and critical role ensuring the Nation’s superiority in the increasingly contested space domain. Garrant serves as USC’s Champion under the USSF’s University Partner Program, designed to further the service’s ability to recruit and educate a diverse and tech-savvy Guardian workforce, create opportunities for advanced academic degrees, open channels for ROTC scholarships, and establish world-class research opportunities.
